Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce

Incorporated in 1935, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is a 5-Star Accredited Chamber by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was named the 2009 Chamber of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. As the fourth largest chamber in Kentucky, the Chamber serves as a premier business advocate for its more than 1,300 partners and is the driving force for economic development in South Central Kentucky. Its primary goals are to promote growth and success in the business community, reaching its small business partners and those in large industries alike. With leadership programs, governmental relations projects, educational initiatives and involvement opportunities, the Chamber aims to support the community and its neighbors in order to enhance the business climate and continue to grow the region.

The President’s Club

The President’s Club was formed in 1998 in an effort to recognize Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce partners who generously contribute to the Chamber’s economic development efforts.Many of the President’s Club partners were already paying at President’s Club levels before the program was established. Within six months of the program’s inception, seven additional businesses volunteered their support of the Chamber’s economic development efforts by joining at one of three President’s Club levels. The program has expanded to five levels, with more than 60 businesses currently participating at a bronze, silver, gold, platinum or diamond level.

Most of these partners express that their sole reason for supporting the President’s Club is their desire to encourage economic growth in South Central Kentucky. These partners receive President’s Club benefits that are a tangible “thank you” from the Chamber for their generous support, which extends above and beyond traditional Chamber partner dues. More impressive, however, are the tremendous economic benefits that South Central Kentucky receives from these partners’ commitment to economic development.
