South Central Kentucky is located on Interstate 65 and within 600 miles of 60% of the nation's population, personal income, and manufacturing business establishments, making it an ideal location for business and industry. This centralized location minimizes costs for shipping and transportation, which results in more dollars for businesses.
The region also has access to a labor force of nearly 750,000, which is expected to grow by an additional 45,000 by 2018. Extending past Louisville, Ky., Evansville, Ind., and Nashville, Tenn., this labor force is part of a larger population of more than 1.47 million residents.
Several maps demonstrating the region's centralized location can be accessed here. We also offer several Flash maps, providing location information about national flight times, education, cost of living comparisons and more.
