Strategic Council Works to Synergize Community Planning and Resources

Posted by: Meredith Robinson, Chief Operating Officer
The Strategic Council, comprised of a cross section of community stakeholders including representatives from a variety of business and community members, local government and local public education institutions have been working to identify ways in which to build a better future for Bowling Green and Warren County. Economic sectors represented include: construction, health care, hospitality, manufacturing service, and transportation, distribution and logistics.

Together with consultants from Pegasus Pegasus Planning and Development (Austin, Texas), and Point A Consulting (Louisville, Ky.), the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is currently facilitating a series of strategic planning sessions to identify mutual goals, shared resources and the ways and means that each entity represented by the Council could move forward in a cooperative method.

The Chamber, Council and consultants took an inventory of existing assets that identified Bowling Green's strengths and weaknesses. These strengths and weaknesses were compared to communities across the nation to identify 'best practices' and how Bowling Green can continue to build upon its success.
We would like to recognize and extend our sincerest gratitude to the following individuals whose dedicated time and effort have made this strategic plan for economic development in Bowling Green and Warren County a success. The work of the Strategic Council will be incorporated into strategic and development plans across Warren County and will shape the growth of the area over the next five to 10 years.
