The International Center

The International Center has been a mainstay of South Central Kentucky since 1979, and it serves Hispanic and other foreign-born families through advocacy, information leading to economic self-sufficiency and empowerment of communities. Located in Bowling Green, the Center provides many services for immigrants and refugees transitioning to the South Central Kentucky region, including:

• Immigration assistance at little to no cost.
• Interpreting in medical and legal settings, among others.
• Job placement. Refugees have been in the United States for less than five years will be placed in jobs. Employment services are available for all refugees. If interested, please contact Kelly Rice at kellyrice@wkrmaa.org.
• Individual Development Accounts program for establishing assets. A matching program is available.
• Social adjustment groups for women, men, and parents.
• Future career education, including re-credentialing.

The International Center promotes the hiring of immigrants and refugees in South Central Kentucky, placing these employees in companies at no cost and providing transportation to and from work. The Center also provides on-the-job interpreters as well.
