Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce Joins National Corvette Museum for Community Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting at the NCM Motorsports Park

Surrounded by area community leaders and auto enthusiasts, Governor Beshear joined forces with the National Corvette Museum and Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the opening of the $20 million, dual-track NCM Motorsports Park.

The Park is situated on 186 acres purchased and rezoned by the National Corvette Museum.  Two circuits, “East” and “West” can be combined in multiple configurations ranging from a high speed loop of 1.96 miles to an extended 3.15 mile technical course.  The Corvette Racing/Pratt and Miller Team advised the Museum on the layout of the technical track that includes features from their favorite and most challenging track, the Le Mans circuit in France.

The opening today at 505 Grimes Road-- directly across Interstate-65 from the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green-- opens the throttle on up to 80,000 additional visitors each year, bringing an estimated impact of $15 million in motorsports tourism and racing events revenues annually.

“I applaud the National Corvette Museum and the Bowling Green community for this outstanding project,” Gov. Steve Beshear said. “The Motorsports Park will attract thousands of visitors to this area and will play a major role in the tourism economy for years to come.”

“Motorsports enthusiasts from across America have a new favorite destination,” said Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon. “South Central Kentucky is already a hub for motorsports activity, and the opening of this premier facility will be yet another jewel in our crown.”

“I am really excited to be part of this fantastic facility and the NCM Motorsports Park team,” says Mitch Wright, General Manager of the NCM Motorsports Park. “Our facility is a great destination for corporate activity, driver training and education, and recreational motorsports for car and motorcycle enthusiasts. A great buzz within the enthusiast community has been building and we are looking forward to showing off this great venue to all that come to drive, ride or tour the place.”

According to Mayor Bruce Wilkerson, "The NCM Motorsports Park is a world class facility and I am so excited for them to be located right here in Bowling Green.  From racing to corporate events to recreational events, this facility will be an economic engine the drives us well into the future."

To date, over 190 track days have been book for the next year.  A complete calendar of events and activities is online at
