B&R Electrical, Inc. is Expanding in Bowling Greenís Transpark

Bowling Green, KY., July 31, 2020 – B&R Electrical, Inc., an electrical contractor, is investing $2.5 million in building a new headquarters and related facilities in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

B&R Electrical’s primary services are in manufacturing, including design-build, maintenance, and component relocation. Additionally, they have extended their services into healthcare, logistics, warehousing, and wastewater treatment facilities.

They currently employ 58, but seasonally can reach 100 employees. This new location will enable them to continue growing. 

The company purchased Lot 13-2 in the Transpark to facilitate its expansion. The 6.76-acre lot on Prosperity Drive includes a 41,000 square foot graded pad that was completed in 2019. B&R will construct a 16,000-square-foot materials warehouse, a 6,000-square-foot office building and 8,000 square foot warehouse on the site. Once complete, the property will be able to house over 100 employees.

B&R Electrical will join a strong ecosystem of growing companies located within the Transpark. Bowling Green and Warren County have invested heavily in product and infrastructure to prepare for growth within the Transpark and the broader community. “B&R Electrical purchased a lot where the building pad had already been graded. We are investing in these types of improvements to make it easier for companies to choose Bowling Green and to move their construction projects forward quickly once they do.,” said Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ron Bunch. Since 2011, there have been over 1500 new jobs announced in the Transpark thanks to companies investing $838.6 million into their facilities.

Year to date in 2020, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce has closed two economic development projects totaling $150.3 million in capital investment and generating 141 new jobs for 2020. Bowling Green was recently recognized by Site Selection magazine as a top tier-2 metropolitan area in the United States (marketing the 7th consecutive year being nationally ranked) and was ranked among the top 20 for 2018’s ‘Best Small Cities to Start a Business’ by Wallethub.com.
