Bowling Green, KY - On Thursday, March 28th, 2024, 106 student ambassadors from six high schools in the Bowling Green area came together to roll up their sleeves and volunteer as part of the SCK LAUNCH Student Ambassadors Community Service Day.

Supported by the Bowling Green Area Chamber Foundation, the event brought together students from Bowling Green High School, GEO International High School, Greenwood High School, South Warren High School, Warren East High School, and Warren Central High School.

The purpose of the event was to provide these student ambassadors with an opportunity to give back and make an impact outside of their school communities. Throughout the school year, these students have been actively involved in various service initiatives within their schools, and the Community Service Day allowed them to extend their reach to benefit the wider Bowling Green community.

The Family Enrichment Center hosted the event, where the day began with the arrival of the students. From there, the student ambassadors dispersed to various locations to engage in meaningful service activities. These locations included the Family Enrichment Center itself, the St Vincent Food Pantry, SOKY Patriots, the Child Advocacy Center, and Hope House.

Justin Spears, Faculty Advisor at Warren East High School, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in shaping the next generation of community leaders. "Our students have worked tirelessly throughout the year to serve their school communities, and events like this allow them to expand their horizons and contribute to the broader community in meaningful ways," said Spears.

The SCK LAUNCH Student Ambassadors Community Service Day not only provided valuable service to the Bowling Green community but also served as a testament to the dedication and commitment of the area's youth to creating a better future for all. As these students continue to lead by example, their impact will undoubtedly be felt far beyond the confines of their high school campuses.
