The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce was happy to host another successful President's Club luncheon this August, featuring an insightful presentation from: Doug Gorman, Judge Executive and Sam Ford, Co-Founder of Suspenders of Disbelief and Innovation Engine. The focus of the luncheon was the 2050 initiative, a forward-looking plan aimed at preparing our community for the future as we continue to grow and evolve.
Doug Gorman, opened the discussion with the initial plan of the 2050 initiative's goals. He emphasized the importance of proactive planning in creating a sustainable infrastructure that can support the anticipated growth of our region. His insights into the potential challenges and opportunities that lie ahead resonated with all in attendance, highlighting the need for collaboration across sectors to ensure our community thrives.
Sam Ford added depth to the conversation by discussing the role of communication and community engagement in the 2050 initiative. He stressed that as Bowling Green grows, so too must our efforts to keep the community informed and involved in the development process.
Together, Gorman and Ford provided a vision for Bowling Green's future, urging local leaders and businesses to take an active role in shaping the infrastructure that will support our community for decades to come. The luncheon served as a powerful reminder that while growth is inevitable, how we manage that growth is up to us.
President’s Club luncheons are created to unite the region's top economic investors, providing them with opportunities to connect and gain valuable insights into the economic development of the South-Central Kentucky area.
Mark your calendars for the rest of the year President’s Club Luncheons, all lunches from 11:30 AM to 1 PM at the Bowling Green Chamber.
