Students Explore Local Careers Through SCK LAUNCH Career Shadowing

Throughout November, December & January 189 students participated in 13 career shadowing experiences across 10 local businesses, getting a closer look at what it’s really like to work in South Central Kentucky’s thriving industries.

From Early Childhood Education & Digital Media to Healthcare, Electrical & Water Recovery , students took deep dives into local careers—seeing how skills and interest can grow into future careers. They toured facilities, met with professionals, and asked questions about the skills and education needed to succeed.

Students said they had a great time learning about everything from how products are made to how teams collaborate to serve customers and communities.

Career Shadowing is one more way SCK LAUNCH helps students discover their strengths, explore opportunities, and imagine their future right here at home.
