BOWLING GREEN, KY - March 10, 2026 - The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) announces that the Bowling Green/Warren County metro area ranked among the top three U.S. metro areas (populations under 200,000) for total project announcements in Site Selection magazine’s 2025 Governor’s Cup, with 16 qualifying announcements. The community also placed sixth in projects-per capita — marking the third straight year Bowling Green/Warren County has finished in the top three for that category.
The South-Central region of Kentucky finished second for projects per capita and third for total projects in Site Selection’s 2025 rankings, with 182 statewide announcements meeting the magazine’s criteria. Franklin and Glasgow tied for 9th among top micropolitan. Overall, Kentucky again placed in the top five nationally for economic development projects per capita — a testament to the state’s continued momentum and the strength of local partnership and leadership.
