Bowling Green Young Professionals (BGYP) kicked off the morning with energy, connection, and purpose at a recent Coffee & Convos hosted by LifeSkills, Inc. With coffee in hand and GADS donuts, attendees gathered to network and hear how one organization is making a powerful difference in our community.
BGYP Chair Heath Holloman opened the program by recognizing key partners, including Exclusive Champion Partner Stewart Richey Construction and Premier Sponsor The Mint Gaming Hall, whose continued support fuels opportunities for young professionals across Bowling Green.
The highlight of the morning was hearing from Joe Dan Beavers, President and CEO of LifeSkills, Inc. who shared how the organization serves more than 26,000 individuals each year—strengthening not only lives, but also the region’s workforce and economic future. His message was clear: when people have access to mental health and support services, businesses and communities thrive.
Attendees also heard from Melanie Watts, who brought a powerful personal perspective on the impact of LifeSkills and the importance of future growth through initiatives like The Anchor Project. The program concluded with a meaningful “Mindful Minute” led by Robin Gregory, reminding everyone to pause and invest in their own well-being, followed by closing remarks from Jordan Eddings emphasizing connection and continued collaboration.
From meaningful conversations to impactful insights, the morning reflected what BGYP is all about—building relationships, increasing awareness, and strengthening our community together.
