A significant project anchored by a new Publix is expected to bring expanded infrastructure, housing, and commercial space to the area, supported through a public-private partnership model. City Of Bowling Green Announces Limited-Edition America 250 Challenge Coin Pre-Sale To Support Free Downtown Events
The City of Bowling Green is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with the launch of a limited-edition challenge coin, now available for pre-sale. Only 900 coins will be offered, with proceeds supporting free, family-friendly Downtown events like Duncan Hines Days, Harvest Fest, and Downtown Lights Up. Coins are available through May 9 (or while supplies last), with options for local pickup or shipping. More than just a commemorative item, this initiative helps bring the events and experiences that connect the community to life.

The Champions of Hope Luncheon supports The Salvation Army of Bowling Green and its mission to provide shelter, meals, and vital services for individuals and families facing hardship. This year’s event honors Joe Davis as the 2026 Champion of Hope for more than two decades of dedicated service to the organization and the community. Captains Johnny and Monica Horton will also be recognized for their leadership since 2021, helping expand outreach efforts and ensure continued support for those in need.
